(2) This heating system is excellent! I have not just severely reduced my carbon footprint which is quite valuable in and of itself, but I am now saving $2,500 per year on my household heating bill. "I wanted to write you a quick note to let you know how happy we are with amazing the OkoFEN boiler and Flexilo storage system that you installed for us last spring! As you know, my wife and I moved into our house in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, in October of 2011. Even though the winter of 2011 was not a “hard” one, I knew I had to do something to lower my oil heating bills after spending just one winter in our new house. Doing a little research, I found that wood pellets were a good alternative heat source here in New England. I had heard of people using wood pellets for heat but that usually consisted of some sort of pellet stove and required the user to lug heavy dusty bags of pellets to feed the stoves. I wanted a solution that would not require me to do that. I wanted a solution that would heat my whole house, not just a few rooms. I wanted a system that I could tie directly into my existing heating system that consists of multiple zones fed by hot water. I wanted a system that could run for several weeks without operator intervention. I wanted a system that was safe, and acceptable by my homeowner’s insurance. I also wanted to keep my oil boiler system intact as be able to use it as a backup if necessary. Fortunately, I found your company and OkoFEN. The system you installed does all of these things and more! I have dealt with various contractors over the years, and I can honestly say, it was a real pleasure dealing with you. From our first meeting, your enthusiasm for your products was evident and contagious. You provided us with a detailed proposal that outlined exactly what you delivered. The project started and concluded as scheduled. You provided detailed explanations and were more than willing to answer follow-up questions. You were committed to making sure the customer was 110% satisfied. Although the winter of 2012 is just barely half over, I can tell that the cost of heating my house has been drastically reduced, and our house is warmer! Please do not hesitate in using me as a reference. I would be more than happy to show potential customers our system, and would welcome the opportunity to brag about it."

"This letter is provided as a reference on behalf of Ted Fountain and New Day Energy. OVerall we have been delighted with all phases of teh implementation of the MESys Pellet Boiler in our residence - during pre-sales discovery, implementation, and post-sales support, We had recently moved to a new residence from a home in which over half of our heating was obtained from wood pellet fireplace insert. We had grown accustomed to enjoying a locally sourced, renewable energy and the associated reduction in ongoing costs, so we quickly began searching for an alternative to the propane heating system in our home. 

We learned of New Day Energy from the MEsys web site. I contacted other MESys dealers in addition to New Day Energy, but Ted's attention to detail, prompt response, follow-up, and overall consultative approach quickly distinguished him from the rest of the field. We also contacted dealers of the other boiler manufacturers, where again Ted's level of service, as well as the produts'' distinguishing features led us to the same conclusion. 

When it came time for the installation, Ted was a master of project management. When plans changed he communicated early and often. If the work of a sub-contractor had room for improvement, he was all over it. He also assisted greatly in navigating the paperwork required to ensure we were eligible for current financial incentives offered by the state's Public Utilities Commision. Post-installation has been no exception. Ted has stopped by to ensure the system is working at peak efficiency, and has been readily available for any questions that arise in the operation of the unit.

I am somewhat hypocritical when it comes to Letters of Recommendation and product/service reviews; I often read them but seldom write them. Today I break out of that shell with good reason. When I first moved into my new, very old house in Keene, New Hampshire I was prepared to deal with the winter but I was also looking for a better way to deal with the problem of heating my home than using expensive fossil fuels. After a lot of research, I was fortunate enough to come upon New Day Energy and Ted Fountain (and OkoFEN boilers). I had many questions about the both the product and the process and Ted patiently answered every one of them. In the end the project was an expensive one, but well worth every penny. I have spent roughly half of what it cost to heat the house last year (2012-13) and that is with the brutal cold that we have had this winter (2013-14). Put simply the boiler and the pellets that fuel it have not disappointed. As for Ted, my only disappointment is that I cannot use him for every contracting project this old house faces. Ted’s dedication to his craft and to getting the job done right, on budget and (importantly to me at least) beautifully is first rate. My boiler room is now not only heating my whole house efficiently it almost looks like a museum display. Our project was not without its hiccups but Ted was able to handle each of them in a manner that kept me feeling comfortable about the project and the budget. I whole-heartedly recommend Ted to anyone looking to heat his or her home in a more efficient, more environmentally sound, way. "After much research and getting some quotes, we felt lucky to have found Ted Fountain and New Day Energy to install our OKEFEN pellet boiler from Maine Energy Systems. As a family we decided that it was important to us that we reduce our carbon footprint on the world at the same time reducing our country’s dependency on foreign oil. This project was a win-win for the environment and for our pocket book as we no longer need to stress out at the price of oil going up. Ted was knowledgeable about the product we wanted and we appreciated his thoroughness when explaining how the system worked along with and his check-ins after the install. He was prompt when he arrived at our home for each quote, measurement, installation and revisit. He first came out to evaluate our current system, our needs, discuss our desires to use renewable energy to heat our home and take measurements to be sure that we could accommodate the size of the system. He worked on the paperwork, filling out the necessary forms for the rebate and building permit. Ted returned to accept the delivery of the new boiler and prepare it for installation, set up the large pellet storage bin. Ted brought helpers with him during this stage of the project including New Day Energy president Mark Robinson. Ted set up the delivery of the pellets so they would be in and ready for the install. On the day of the install, he was here early before the plumber and electrician to prepare. The plumber and electricians were polite, courteous and cleaned up well after their work. After the install, Ted came back to check on the system and made one last check that everything was back in place. We were amazed with how fast Ted was able to line up plumbers, electricians, his help getting the building permit, the state rebate and fire inspection. Ted was also informative about the state rebate process and helped that go smoothly as well. These might seem like small things but when we were getting quotes from another company, They were not able to line up the plumbers to come out and give us a quote. In the end we were pleased to have a better heating system installed by a courteous, knowledgeable, prompt, company whose staff (Ted Fountain) made us feel like this was a project he was doing in his own home because he took so much care. In short, we highly recommend Ted Fountain and New Day Energy when considering using renewable energy sources for your home or business. We are looking forward to work with Ted and New Day Energy as we enter the second phase of our project, the installation of solar tubes for heating our hot water so we don’t have to run our boiler all year long. "I am writing on behalf of Ted Fountain and New Day Energy regarding a project they completed for my residential and commercial purposes. Shortly after purchasing my first home, it became clear that we would need to replace our boiler. After getting quotes from several companies, I came to the conclusion that a wood pellet boiler was my first choice, although most unfamiliar. At the same time as I was completing my due diligence, I was discussing the idea of a wood pellet boiler with my Father, a small business owner, and my boss. He had recently installed a solar photo-voltaic array and solar thermal heating system in our family restaurant. I knew this alternative energy would interest him and he began to research potential systems as well. This was when we first became in touch with Ted Fountain and New Day Energy. We originally contacted several companies to talk us through both residential and commercial projects, and requested respective quotes. From the start, Ted’s performance was well above the other companies we had contacted. He was prompt, efficient, and communicated with us effectively throughout the entire process. Being unfamiliar with this particular system was somewhat nerve-racking, but Ted was available to answer all our questions and continue to assure us we had made the right decision with his confidence and expertise. Upon choosing Ted and New Day Energy for our projects, we began to research incentive programs that would help expense the initial cost. Ted was incredibly helpful during this process; he made sure we didn’t miss a deadline and was available to help us with our paperwork if we had any trouble. This was essential in our ability to afford the system we had chosen, and was certainly above and beyond his job expectations. Ted was patient in waiting for us to confirm the financing we needed before proceeding, but also was ready to begin installation shortly after it was confirmed. Residential installation was quick and efficient; Ted had lined up all the work he needed with local contractors as well as his company. Everything was aligned, and installed within one day. We had a minor glitch with our system in the first week, and Ted was only a phone call away no matter what time of day. Even if he was traveling, or hours away, he made sure he could get us or talk us through any problems we had. It was incredibly comforting to have such incredible customer service experience. We were more than pleased with the final product at our home. At our restaurant, the installation took more time as it was a much larger project in scope. Still, at all times Ted communicated with us on the progression of the project. He efficiently worked with our contractors and again aligned all steps of the installation efficiently without affecting the day to day business of the restaurant. We were very pleased with the outcome and performance of Ted and New Day Energy. I would recommend Ted Fountain and New Day Energy for any project that you would consider them for. "I want to share with you my experience with Ted and New Day Energy in hopes it makes your life easier, and points more business to the guys who I think very clearly deserve it. I simply could not have made a better choice, either with the boiler or New Day as the installer. After some investigation into the top pellet boiler options, I settled quickly on MESys/Okofen for their large base of installed boilers, their steady history both in the US and Europe, and their more thought-through engineering and design. I think it’s hard to reach any other conclusion, and those three factors gave me confidence that the installation would be durable, and parts would be available for years to come. As for the installation… there are two types of folks in most careers, I think. "When it was time to update our heating system we researched alternatives for oil/gas burners and decided on a pellet stove boiler. That was the time we got in touch with Ted Fountain from New Day Energy. We were very impressed from the first time we met Ted. Ted and his team are very organized, detailed and had a good way of explaining how the new set up would take place and how much space it would need.
